Despite the barbarous heat and humidity that Dubai receives It has managed to find a place among the cities that claim to be the green cities of the world. Thanks to all the green initiatives and the parks of Dubai, Dubai has secured 8th rank in that list. There are many public parks which are well maintained and manicured to escape the brutal heat and experience a green touch of nature. These Parks in Dubai are recreational planted spaces which are specifically designed and constructed so that people could take some time off their busy life and come here to relax. A Recent study shows that family-time in the families living in Dubai is shrinking over time. These parks can help you spend quality time with your family in a calm and green atmosphere.

There are 8 such spectacular parks located in all parts of Dubai, which are Al Barsha Pond Park at Al Barsha 2, Al Mamzar Beach Park at Deira, Al Nahda Pond Park at Al Nahda, Creekside Park at Bur Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Park beside Jumeirah Beach Road, Mushrif Park at Al Khawanij, Safa Park & Zabeel Park at Sheikh Zayed Road.

Al Barsha Pond Park


Al Barsha Pond Park is located at Al Barsha 2 near NBD bank Dubai. It is constructed beside a man-made lake with Palm trees lined up across the track which circumferences the lake. The park opens at 8 AM in the morning and closes up at 11 PM on weekdays and 11.30 on weekends. The smooth and flat track across the park allows the joggers, rollerbladers, and skaters to have a fun time. This park is also suitable for morning walk and picnic but doesn’t allow pets along with you.

Al Mamzar Beach Park


Al Mamzar is popular for its vast area with a coastal view. Al Mamzar has designated barbecue space, swimming pool, football & volleyball pitches, basketball court and a skating park. Along the coastal line, you could walk on the track and experience the calm waters and variety of birds alongside. The entry fees to Al Mamzar park is 5 Dhs per head and 30 Dhs per car. There are beach cabins at Al Mamzar park which are available for approx 200 Dhs. The park opens at 8 AM in the morning and closes up at 10 PM on weekdays and 11 on weekends. And pets are not allowed in the park.

Al Nahda Pond Park

Al Nahda Pond Park is the first entertainment facility in the Al Nahda locality which near the border of Sharjah. The park has an 80,000 square meters large pond inside it which enhances the ambiance of the park. Entry to the park is free but there may be a fee for certain sections of the park. There is an inflatable bouncy castle for kids, playground for adults, and tiny gazebos for dining and picnic. The park administration has installed few outdoor fitness equipment which is free of any fees, anyone can use them. And the fountain view from the coast is breathtaking. The park opens at 8 AM in the morning and closes up at 11 PM on weekdays and 11.30 on weekends. And pets are not allowed in the park.

Creekside Park

Creekside Park located in Bur Dubai is very famous for its cable cars facility. Apart from cable cars, there are many other fun things that you could do in Creekside Park. They have kids’ playground with games, designated barbecue spots, miniature golf, go-kart and bikes to ride. There is the small section within this park specially designated for kids known as Children’s city which is an adventurous and educational park for kids. There is a Dolphinarium within the park with shows couple of times a day. Creekside Park is also a great place for a picnic with friends and family. The park opens at 8 AM in the morning and closes up at 10 PM on weekdays and 11 PM on weekends. And pets are not allowed in the park.

Jumeirah Beach Park

Jumeirah Beach Park is a hybrid park with a combination of beach sand and grassland. Jumeirah Beach Park is spread across 12 hectares of parkland with swimming pool, volleyball courts, barbecue area, and clean toilets & dressing rooms for visitors. Jumeirah Beach Park is a perfect spot for picnic and weekend hangout. Jumeirah Beach Park also has a children’s play area which kids over there love to spend time. You are also provided with all beach facilities including lifeguard security. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the beach is open only for Ladies and kids. The park opens at 7.30 AM in the morning and closes at 11 PM all days in the week. The entry fee per head is 5 Dhs and 20 Dhs per car. Pets are not allowed for now.

Mushrif Park


Mushrif Park is one of the huge parks in Dubai covering 5.25 square KMs with many cultural and traditional houses built in the park. Mushrif Park also has designated barbecue spots, swimming pool, playground, basketball courts, volleyball & handball pitches, cycle track and camel rides. It is a desert park with Palm trees and desert shrubs and has life forms such as Camels, Horses, and Peacocks . It is another ideal place for picnic and place to spend quality time with family. The entry fee per head is 3 Dhs and 10 Dhs per car. Mushrif park starts at 8 AM in the morning and closes at 10 PM in the night on weekdays and 11 PM on weekends. Pets are not allowed.

Safa Park

Safa Park is one of the greenest spots of Dubai and an amazing spot for a family time. Safa Park especially attracts couples and nature lovers. There are over 16000 trees with life forms such as birds, ducks, geckos, bats, fishes and iguanas. Safa Park also has ponds where visitors could go boating and enjoy watching the bird sanctuary. The park  also has a track for joggers and rollerbladers, spots to do yoga, and places to fly kites. The entry fee is just 3 Dhs per head. The park opens at 8 AM in the morning and closes at 10 PM on weekdays and 11 PM on weekends.

Zabeel Park

Zabeel Park is a fabulous landscape located at Sheikh Zayed Road. It is very popular among families, couple, and fitness conscious people. Zabeel park is full lush and green with different kinds of birds. The park is divided into two sections and it is connected by a pedestrian bridge. You could hire a boat for 40 Dhs and go around the lake in the park. The park also has a train for visitors which takes you around the park. The park also has barbecue spots, cycle & jogging track, children’s play area, water fountains and clean toilets facility. The entry fee to the park is 5 Dhs per head and pets are not allowed.
